The Czech Geographical Society was founded in 1894. It is one of the oldest scientific societies in Czechia. The Czech Geographical Society is a formal association of scientific workers, teachers and other geographers from different branches. The main goal of the Czech Geographical Society is developing geographical disciplines in Czechia, promoting geography as a scientific discipline, developing geographical education and promoting geographical knowledge to the public.
