Committee

 

The Geographical Committee is an independent section of the Czech Geographical Society. Its main purpose is to represent the Czech geographical community at the international level. Specifically, it is the representation of Czech geography within the International Geographical Union (IGU), e.g. elections to IGU bodies, consent to the admission of new members and all correspondence with the IGU – i.e. the transfer of information between national organisations and the IGU (and vice versa).

Prof. RNDr. Jaromír Kolejka, CSc. (Masaryk University)

 

Members:

The members of the Committee are, by virtue of their position, the heads of all scientific research and university geographic departments, as well as the presidents of scientific societies of geography and related disciplines in the Czech Republic.
